FCB to Facebook live auction game worn pink jerseys after final exhibition match

The Flint City Bucks will be in hot pink Capelli kits from head to toe again this Sunday as they host Rebels FC for their final exhibition soccer match of 2020 at Kettering University’s historic Atwood Stadium at 12:00 pm. The team will be supporting and raising dollars and awareness for (Flint’s) Hurley Medical Center’s Breast Cancer Navigation Program.

At the conclusion of the match (this Sunday, September 27) FCB lead broadcaster, Neal Ruhl will initiate a Facebook Live event on the Bucks’ FB page to auction off the player jerseys. Mark your calendars for 2:15 pm this Sunday, September 27, 2020. Visit the Flint City Bucks Facebook page to participate. FCB encourages you to please share with family, friends and other soccer enthusiasts. All money raised stays local to support the Hurley Breast Cancer Navigation Program and Hurley patients going through the financially draining and life-disrupting process of cancer and treatment. Auction participants will be making a huge impact on lives right here in Genesee County!

FCB team president Costa Papista states, “We love partnering with the community for great causes like Hurley’s Breast Cancer Navigation Program. Our players, coaches and staff are always excited to make a positive impact on Flint and Genesee County. Please join us on Facebook Live this Sunday at 2:15 pm to help us raise as much money as possible for this important fundraising event.”

Jordan Brown, Director of Volunteer and Community Engagement at the Hurley Foundation added, “We are so grateful for the attention the Flint City Bucks are bringing to breast cancer awareness month by playing in their pink jerseys for this final match. It’s so important as a Flint institution to support the health of our community and that’s what makes this partnership so much fun. I am thankful to the Bucks for supporting our Pink Night Palooza event and our Breast Cancer Navigation Fund.”

Match time is 12 pm (noon) Sunday, September 27th versus Rebels FC. Tune in to The CW46 across Mid Michigan to catch all of the live action. If you are out of the broadcast viewing area, watch via the Bucks website, Twitter or YouTube page.
