FCB will host Inter Detroit FC for a limited number of fans at Kettering’s Atwood Stadium

The Flint City Bucks, 2019 USL2 National Champions, announced today that they will host a seventh and final exhibition match in 2020. The game will be a rematch with Inter Detroit FC (UPSL) on Saturday afternoon, October 17th at Kettering University’s historic Atwood Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Bucks defeated Inter Detroit FC on September 6th by a score of 2-1 on Live Television (The CW46) that aired across Mid Michigan. It was FCB’s toughest friendly of 2020. The rematch will now be available to a limited number of spectators at the stadium.

The Governor’s latest Executive Order permits up to 1,000 spectators at Kettering’s Atwood Stadium. The Bucks are offering a limited number of pre-purchased General Admission tickets to their fans and supporters.

Fans will be required to meet the following conditions in order to attend the match:

  • pre-purchase tickets online, tickets will not be sold at the stadium

  • wear masks at all times while in the stadium

  • sit six feet apart from other spectators not living in the same household

  • answer health screening questions and have temperature checked prior to admission

Bucks President, Costa Papista stated, “We are excited to offer one final exhibition match to our sponsors, season ticket holders and fans in 2020.  Kettering’s Atwood Stadium is literally the perfect venue for social distancing. It’s an iconic outdoor stadium with an open design that gets a great breeze from the beautiful Flint River to its south. It’s an exciting opportunity for our players, staff and fans in these difficult times. We appreciate our partnership with Kettering University and Hurley Medical Center to help us make this event possible.”

Those unable to attend in person will have the opportunity to watch the Bucks online as the team will be broadcasting the game live on their YouTube channel, website (www.flintcitybucks.com) and Twitter account.
