Fort Wayne FC debuted in 2020 as part of the National Premier Soccer League. The club joined USL2 in 2021 while adding U.S. international star DaMarcus Beasley as a co-owner.
This year, Fort Wayne finished the regular season as one of just three unbeaten teams leaguewide. The playoff debutants scored 31 goals while conceding only three in 12 matches.
The hosts are led by Gijs Hovius, a Dutch forward transferring to Missouri State for the fall, and Reid Sproat, a defender who played four seasons at Oakland University.
Fort Wayne also features former Bucks midfielder Sebastian Chalbaud.
