The Flint City Bucks (10-1-1), seeking their fifth national championship in 27 seasons, will begin USL League Two postseason play this weekend in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Kickoff for the Central Conference quarterfinal is set for 7 p.m. tomorrow night at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium against first-round hosts and Valley Division champions Fort Wayne FC (10-0-2). It will be a battle of the titans!
Traveling Bucks fans can purchase tickets for $10 online. Parking at the stadium costs $5 (cash only). Tailgating is permitted on site beginning two hours prior to the match.
The winner will advance to the Central Conference semifinal Sunday at 6 p.m.
After clinching the Great Lakes Division title June 8, the Bucks have a league-record 15 division crowns. Thirty-five playoff wins and nine conference titles are also league bests.
Fort Wayne FC debuted in 2020 as part of the National Premier Soccer League. The club joined USL2 in 2021 while adding U.S. international star DaMarcus Beasley as a co-owner.
This year, Fort Wayne finished the regular season as one of just three unbeaten teams leaguewide. The playoff debutants scored 31 goals while conceding only three in 12 matches.
The hosts are led by Gijs Hovius, a Dutch forward transferring to Missouri State for the fall, and Reid Sproat, a defender who played four seasons at Oakland University.
Fort Wayne also features former Bucks midfielder Sebastian Chalbaud.
